Indeed I am a little jelly? Jelly I don’t have a bigger wardrobe so I can fit more of the labels I love inside!
Welcome to ‘Labels I love’ or alternatively, labels Livvy May loves – it’s a new category and one in which I will showcase existing labels or up and comers I feel warrant an “I love you”.
Ladakh is a label that has been around for as long as I can remember. In fact I used to sell it at my first ever retail job at a boutique on Noosa’s Hasting Street. The customers loved it and so did I! A good portion of my pay cheque went towards buying new pieces from this range for my ‘uniform’, yes I was required to have a a fabulous uniform! In all seriousness, Ladakh is a label that features a mix of clothing from going out to a party to relaxing at a cafe with friends while gossiping over coffee. The options are endless and there are styles to suit many different shapes and sizes. Although they do not have a flagship store of their own they can be found at many boutiques across Australia. There range is affordable and good quality so you can ensure it will last beyond one season.
Another up and comer is Cue Eyewear. We all know Cue clothing, who have been named Best Australian Fashion Brand at the Prix de marie claire Awards on three separate occasions.
When the first Cue store opened in Sydney’s Strand Arcade in 1968, it brought fast, reactive fashion to Australia – and became an Australian fashion pioneer. The range can be purchased online or there are Cue Stores in all major cities throughout Australia and New Zealand, as well as a dedicated Cue department on the fashion floor of every Myer store. What’s fabulous about Cue is not only their feminine take on female corporate attire, however, their branch into the world of accessories. The company launched their eyewear collection in 2012 and since then have taken classic shapes like the wayfarer, the cat eye, the oval shaped and the sophisticated Audrey Hepburn at Breakfast in Tiffany’s look and put their signature stamp on it!
Finally, a label that is oh so cute and back in fashion is the Jelly Bean Sandal. That’s almost as cool as the Hypercolour T-shirt. Admit it, you know you had one! I am into everything 80’s right now and yes I’ll admit it I’m even watching ‘The Carrie Diaries’ – little Carrie is adorable and now we’ve met Samantha in season two you can totally see why the two clicked instantaneously. Anyway, enough about this, the jelly’s have arrived and everyone is wearing them, even my 3 year old niece. She’s a trendsetter after all! I have a pair in leopard and baby blue and yes they make me feel like a little kid again. A super cool one!
Alongside this outfit post, you’ll notice I’m wearing some of my favourite pieces from the labels I love – there are the Ladakh dresses, the jelly sandals and the fab eyewear. All put together I think they make for some killer looks. So enjoy and please share with Livvy May the labels you love! X x
