For those unaware, I call myself a Queenslander but in fact, I was born in Adelaide, a place where churches abound and football fever rules the South Australian population. Another factor that makes this region such an attraction is the Barossa Valley with its rich Shiraz’s and Cab Sav’s, it’s a wine lovers version of heaven. I’ve never been lucky enough to venture to the Barossa and I’m not sure I’ll find the opportunity anytime soon with work, deadlines and the complexities of life taking my attention away from planning luxe weekends away but perhaps the Barossa can come to me.
This October 8-12 the first-ever Barossa Homestead is popping up in Paddington and Sydney’s passionate wine and food enthusiasts will be provided with the unique opportunity to slip away from the city and step inside the Barossa for the afternoon.
The intimate home on Duxford Street in Paddington will be transformed and each room, from the kitchen to the living room and dining room will showcase Barossa wine, food and produce. Visitors will be able to meet passionate local South Australian artisans, explore the Barossa’s finest produce and get inspired to book their next weekend away.
Why not go and be inspired to try something new, whether it’s a new wine or gourmet produce item or perhaps even book yourself a trip to the real Barossa Valley!
Lotsa love, LM x x
