In case you haven’t guessed from looking at my Instagram, I’m obsessed with Christmas!
Yep, I fall on the opposite side to Christmas grinches as I literally have the festive season on the brain 24/7. Despite having only two days off work this year (yes, working in a newsroom massively sucks sometimes) I’m still the one to stroll into the office, big smile plastered on her face, playing Christmas carols and eating way too many seasonal treats.
This, however, gives me plenty of time to outfit plan – I head home to Noosa every year to be with my family so I must pack perfectly. The main Christmas events I have to attend is mass (sigh), eggnog breakfast and then lunch at home. The same outfit works for both Christmas mass and our Noosa community eggnog rendezvous but for Christmas lunch it’s usually just bikinis and a pot belly from eating too much turkey.
For these more ‘upmarket’ events I like to theme my outfit where I can – basically this means there MUST be a pop of red incorporated somewhere. For this year’s Christmas soiree, I’ve gone with a big trend this season – the wide leg trouser. This pair from Zara are effortless and breezy and pop when perfectly matched with a black cami and (potentially) white blazer (depending on the weather). Summer sandals or wedges are ideal for these style of pants as they elongate the legs and look super chic.
What’s your Christmas tradition when it comes to fashion?
