I still call Australia home

As you may have noticed the Destinations category on my website is looking larger than ever as I plan to incorporate more travel stories on the site.

Where am I off to next… Mexico and I couldn’t be more excited! Bring on the tequila!

It wasn’t as much the place that drew me to choose Mexico, it was the fact I needed a holiday, badly! So before choosing Mexico, I compiled a list of some of my favourite places in the world, places I’ve been to or places I’ve been wanting to visit and considering I only have ten days leave from my regular day job it excluded many of my fave European spots. What was close to the top of my list, Australia? I know what you’re thinking, I live here but how many of us actually stop to take in how truly breathtaking our country is. I work with many people from the UK and abroad who all consider themselves blessed to reside here and it got me thinking for a girl who grew up in Noosa, Queensland and now trains daily on Bronte beach and explores Sydney as a weekend ritual, I am also one of the lucky ones!

Hence why I chose one of the most beautiful spots I’ve discovered in Sydney as the backdrop/location for this week’s photoshoot. Yep, it’s Tamarama or Glamarama as the locals call it, and on this particular day with the splendid sunshine and wonderful weather this shoot drew quite the crowd!

This look is a little more me as opposed to last week’s street style/grunge look. It’s girly, fresh, bright and feminine. The shoes from Senso have become my absolute favourites this season, the blouse from Elliatt is heavenly and I can see myself wearing this ASOS skirt throughout summer for a refined ‘Audrey Hepburn’ type aesthetic. Lilac is such a divine colour and I love the way it makes you look more tanned and accentuates brunettes’ darker features. The shoes add a touch of edginess to the look and also team perfectly with leather pants or jeans for different styles. I also adore this ring as it fits in with my recent crush for fine jewellery and its gold (I’ve always been a gold girl).

Do you think I could get away with this look in Mexico or is it simply a little too ladies lunching?

So Sydney, with your beautiful beaches, amazing dining experiences, wonderful walks, incredible weekend getaways, splendid shopping precincts – you really are a top spot to reside!
